Interior Redesign and Staging My husband and I have been trying our hand at ‘Flipping houses’, we can take a house gut it and rebuild/remodel it to sell for a profit. This is when I really noticed my flair for Staging and Redesign. I love to take an empty space and make it look like a home for a potential buyer. When flipping a house I have to make sure that everything I choose to put in the house will appeal to the masses. This includes paint colors, cabinetry, flooring, wall coverings, light fixtures, hardware, furnishings and accessories. Now that the market has cooled and competition is so high, we have taken a break from house flipping. I decided to start a business doing what I really love, Interior Decorating. Over the years I have had so many friends and family members asking me to come over to their house to redesign their rooms or stage their house to sell, I thought it would be a great business for me. Designing around children can be quite challenging for people and the same can be said for our pets (the other family member) I was a Certified Veterinary Technician for over 8 years, so I know that they also factor into a design. With my 8 years experience at JC Penny as an assistant merchandising manager and visual merchandising, house flipping and as a Mother of 2 small children (ages 4 & 5), a dog and fish, I feel I have a lot to offer my clients.
